I’m not sure that soaking your pants in a salt solution will help you much in the jungle so at least the title is accurate.

Remember, too – if you DO device to brine pants, let them soak for at LEAST 3 hours. That way the snaps and zipper get some of the flavor.

It’s similar to marinating. She does it when she sees the right guy.

As a professional photographer I’d suggest it’s highly unlikely the photo is out of focus. More likely it’s been scanned or overly compressed for the web. Someone who gets that close to Evangeline Lily in her undies is very probably a high end professional and (a) both Nikon and Canon high end SLRs have very good autofocus and (b) professionals shoot hundreds of photos and pick the best from the pool, forwarding an out of focus photo to a publisher would be considered a faux-pax beyond belief.

You actually can do surprisingly well in most environments without a bunch of protection. I once hiked about 10 miles barefoot in a swimming suit, through a forest and traversing a river several times. Human body isn’t as frail as we imagine.
