There’s a lot of pixelation around her butt area which looks almost like smudged ink. But it’s not necessarily Photoshopped – it could just be the result of a low quality scan of an old image.

Not from the ’80s…this girl wasn’t even born in the ’80s. Late ’90s, early ’00s pic.

Tattoos–to clarify–have been around for several centuries but didn’t gain popularity in the U.S. until the early to mid-’90s, and then only amongst the grunge crowd. Before that it was *mostly* bikers, military personnel, etc. Young girls like the one pictured didn’t make tattooing commonplace until the late ’90s at the earliest.

The photo *is* photoshopped, it turns out, but only the colors of her outfit (originally light blue and red) and the tat on her ankle (doesn’t exist). The original photo had nothing to do with Auburn.
