Vivid Imagination of the Day: A 15-year old passenger in a British cab filed a complaint that the driver’s glass blue crucifix on his dashboard looked like a penis.
Clair Cook, who runs AnD Taxis in York, defended her employee — a deeply religious Catholic. “I am personally deeply offended and very sympathetic for the driver,” she said. “Not only is an ornament of this nature a religious one, but the complaint and its implication is a very serious one.
The driver, who purchased the crucifix six years ago on holiday in Greece, removed the ornament regardless to avoid any further controversy.
