What’s Your Cup Size? of the Day: The female employees of a lingerie chain in Sweden are upset after the company allegedly made them wear name tags that display their bust size.
The company, Change, supposedly pressured female employees to wear the tags that display the worker’s chest circumference and cup size so customers could see what size might be right for their body type.
“We have dirty old men coming into the shop looking at my cup size,” said one anonymous worker. “Why should everyone get to know that? Guys selling underwear don’t have to show their size.”
CEO of Change, Susann Haglund, said:
I don’t get why this would be seen as demeaning in any way. I am sure there are those that feel that way, but it is completely voluntary to wear a name tag with your cup size.
Haglund also said the tags had been suggested by employees of the company.
The Commercial Employees’ Union is threatening to sue the company, saying the tags could be illegal.
